Default correct?

Hi,

could you please tell me whether the word "distinguish between" is correct in the following sentence:

He undertakes to keep records of the use of the company car, distinguishing between business and private trips. (or maybe "separately for business and private trips" would be better)

Thank you very much!

Hanka
