I said to (the) father
In this thread the question stands like this:
when we are talking/writing about family members, do we use articles or possessives before? Should we write them in capitals?
Ex: # 1 I spoke to the father/dad/mum.
# 2 I spoke to father/dad/mum.
# 3 I spoke to Father/Dad/Mum.
# 4 I spoke to your father/dad/mum.
# 5 I spoke to your Father/Dad/Mum.
Which of the examples above are OK?
