Default marking

Hi there,
Could you proofread this sentence?
A lot of schools nowadays compete to force their students to obtain good results, so teachers are forced to mark more students' homework, to give them more extra lessons and to organise more after-school activities. They don't even have time to talk with their students so as to understand their needs.

Thanks
pete

Avoid using the same word twice in the one sentence. Find a different verb for once of these.
