I would like to know which preposition goes with " learn"?
1- I learnt English from Sir Ali.
2- I learnt English by Sir Ali.
3- I learnt English to Sir Ali.
Which of the above mentioned is correct?

"learnt" is not used very often as the past tense of "to learn". "Learned" is much better.
