Question Is "the" required?

Hi teachers!
Is "the" required in the following sentences?
All the living things breathe, move grow, eat and drink.
All the non-living things do not breathe, move, grow, eat and drink.
Regards!
Dawood

Thanks for your answer. What about this sentence without "all"?
Explain to the students the difference between living and non-living things.

Living things breathe, move, grow, eat, and drink.
