I met with such a question:
You can go to the newspaper library and ____ the information you need for your story.
A. look up B. look for C. look at D. look into
The given answer is A. But I thought B is a better choice. Am I right? Thank you very much.

I agree that B is a better choice for the situation described, Joham. Here's why. 'look up' is more specific. We look up things in a dictionary or an encyclopedia. We 'look for' information at places like libraries, on the internet, etc.
We 'look at' the information when we find it.
We 'look into' things that are in dispute, things that not agreed upon.
