    Default comparative...

    Hi,

I want to question about 'comparative'.

    Correct the errors if any.
    1) Many people think television makes the news seem more real.
    2) This makes the news about wars and crimes more terrible.

I think 'more real' should be 'realer' and 'more terrible' is right.
But it is said that the answer is that 'more terrible' is wrong.
    I'd like to know why.

    Best regards...

Correct. 'realer' would be something that a 3 year old child might say while he is still acquiring language skills
    2) This makes the news about wars and crimes (seem) more terrible.
    Correct
But it is said that the answer is that 'more terrible' is wrong.
    I'd like to know why.
If it were wrong, then we would be saying, 'terribleer' -no such word!!
