Are the words in the blank correct? Could you please suggest me better words for the blanks?

This certificate is awarded to Master. John of Class V for securing a position in the first term examination held in December.He was placed in the first position.

This certificate is awarded to Master. John of Class V for securing a commendable rank in the first term examination held in December.He was placed in the first position.

This certificate is awarded to Master. John of Class V for a praise worthy performance in the first term examination held in December.He was placed in the first position.


After what age do we write mister instead of master for boys?

After what age do we write mister instead of master for boys?
We would not normally use a title in something of this kind. The normal way would be:

This certificate is awarded to John Doe of Class V...

He was placed first. OR He achieved first place.

"praiseworthy" is one word.
Otherwise the wording seems good.

Can we use spectacular/splendid/unparalleled/mind blowing performance ?Is there any other adjective that we can use here?Please suggest.

If this is a certificate being given to the person, then keep to what you already have.

If it is an informal announcement, then slangy adjectives are acceptable.

Are these slangy adjectives:overwhelming, splendid, spectacular, astounding, unparalleled,stupendous, amazing, outstanding and phenomenal performance? If not then can these be used to imply excellent performance in a certificate? Could you write to me which among the above are slangy adjectives?

Yes, for an official certificate they are slangy.

Keep it simple and to the point.

Meritorious achievement
is a useful phrase.
