The comma in that sentence was not in the original sentence, and it makes all the difference. As Anglika noted, the choice has to be d. However, I wouldn't write the sentence like that. How do you think I would put it?

Eliminate the sentences that don't make sense or are ungrammatical and you are left with the one that is logical and grammatically correct.
