Default righteousness has only one allegiance

    Hello everyone
I'd like to ask about the meaning of expression "righteousness has only one allegiance and that is to the opressed" in the following passage:

"Mr. Boyle is correct about one thing. Nod will reap what it has sown: the seeds of GDI's destruction. Righteousness has only one allegiance and that is to the opressed -- our Sacred Brotherhood -- inheritors of this glorious Tiberium world. Look to the skies, my children, for a new dawn is rising in the east. Ascension awaits the faithful."

I think that 'the opressed' is 'our Sacred Brotherhood' but what does the expression "Righteousness has only one allegiance and that is to the opressed" mean?

The expression means that righteousness (whatever that is) is on the side of the oppressed.
