Default increasing/decreasing the volume

hi,

how to say that in a very informal but correct way?

"to put the volume up/down" ?

Turn it up, please.

The same expressions for "down."

"Please" can be either at the beginning or end of the sentence:
Please turn it up.
Turn it up, please.

"Put the volume up/down" would not be correct.
