a question over Phrasal verbs

Dear Mr Answer:

"Keep sb doing sth" and "keep sb posted" , both of them are Phrasal verbs, but according to the definition of Phrasal verb, that "Most phrasal verbs consist of two words: the first word is a verb, the second word is a preposition or an adverb", my question is the word "posted" ,it is a verb, the word "keep" also an verb, so , that's the problem. I don't think that in one sentence, there could be more than one verb.

"Keep sb doing sth" is an example of an "object + gerund" complement of the verb "keep", similar to "like sb doing sth" or "can't stand sb doing sth". "keep sb posted" is simply another way of saying "keep sb informed" and I'm surprised anyone would consider it a phrasal verb.

thank you , I got your replie about my question, therefore, I would like to know as you said "keep sb posted" is simply another way of saying "keep sb informed" , informed is an adj, but "posted" is an verb, I don't think there could be more than one verb in a sentence. could you help me out with it? by the way, i think in "keep sb posted", posted likes an adj.....

• inform is a verb
• post is a verb
• informed (in this context) is a transitive verb
• posted (in this context) is also an transitive verb
