Hi, hangle124! Welcome to our Forum! I hope you will become a frequent visitor!

Some of the terms you mention are explained at the following URL James Marcia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can find a concise explanation of 'the American Dream' at American Dream - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frankly, aside from #1, I can't imagine how #'s 2,3,& 4 should be included in the list of "7 best things couples do".

    Good luck with your research!

    Cheers,
    Amigos4

These're just some terms in the book (psychological terms). 7 best things (plus one) couples do are:
1/ Grow up: You can't be married if you not old enough to date.
    2/ Be sexual.
    3/ Be willing to divorce.
4/ Know how you chose each other.
    5/ Let yourself be astonished.
6/ Manage your fear, hurt, shame and loneliness.
    7/ Own your own part.
and 8/ Let disappointment enrich you.
