Default do one's bit

Dear teachers,

I know the meaning of the idiom "do one's bit", also "do one's part" namely: "make an individual contribution to an overall effect" as in

"You can always rely on Ann to do her bit." or
"I'm anxious to do my parts as a board member."

May I paraphrase the following sentence using the mentioned above idiom?

"We must all contribute to the common cause."

"We must all do our bit."

Thank you in advance for your efforts.

Regards.

V.
