dear teachers, please explain it 1. what does this expression'' how's it going'' mean?

Hi,

It's one of many similar expressions meaning basically "How are you?" but used more to ask "How is your life at the moment?" or "Are you making progress in whatever tasks you have?"

In French, they would say "Comment allez-vous?" or "Comment ca va?"

If I wanted to ask you politely what progress you were making with a job, I might say "How's it going?"
