    Default Come to a pitch

    Hi all,
What is the meaning of «to come to a pitch»?

    Context:
«...his investigations were coming to a pitch at precisely the same moment...»
Sort of coming to an end?

    Thank you so much

More like coming to a peak - reaching the limits.
