How can we divide 24 hours in A.M and P.M?

a.m. ante meridiem - before noon - 0:01 - 12:00
p.m. post meridiem - after noon - 12:01 - 24:00

Also:
12:00 A.M. = midnight
12:00 P.M. = noon
