correct answer
Would 'I should have handed it in by next Wednesday' make a grammatically correct answer to the queston of 'When will you submit your term paper?'
I came across it in a test, but I am not sure if it is right.

you may simply say 'i'll hand it in next wednesday.'
but 'should have handed in' is also acceptable.. i think..
it depends on what you mean/what you try to convey..

It is correct - you are saying that your expectation is that you will have completed the paper by the time that Wednesday has arrived.

Thanks for your kind help. Do you mean that I can take that 'should have+Past participle' can be used instead of simple future or future perfect?
