| | a shoulder-padded world Hi,
From the following context: The 7 Habits came out just as we entered the 1990s. Suddenly, aspiring to be a `Master of the Universe' in a shoulder-padded world did not seem to satisfy, and people were ready for a different prescription for getting what they really wanted out of life.
What is the "shoulder-padded world"? Is it possible that the author implied the world of businessman? Just guest from the shoulder-padded suit, ha ha ha.
Tks, :D |

Tks, :D | The world of women in business. Women wore suits and blouses that had shoulder pads sewn into the garment. It made the upper part of the torso look wider, stronger. :) In nature, the male mammal tends to have a wider upper-torso which makes the male look bigger and hence stronger. |

Tks again. | I don't think your questions are weird at all; if anything, you should ask more questions. :D
