Which one is right: "It's as if you knew I was coming" or "It's as if you had known I was coming"? Is it the same as "It looks as if...."?

They are both "correct," however there are small differences:

"It's as if you knew I was coming" (present tense)


or

"It's as if you had known (all this time) I was coming" (past)
