Question Aswell vs also

What is the difference between "aswell" and "also"? And what is the correct use of them?

There is no such word as "aswell."

"as well as" is a construction used to add an item to a list that might not normally include it. For example, "Men as well as women might use this skin conditioner."

One might also say, "Women will use this conditioner, and men might also."

They mean the same thing, but the first usage emphasizes the unexpected.

Or, "German is spoken in Germany, as well as in some areas of Brazil."

They both mean 'in addition', but the grammar can be different.

I know you sent him an e-mail, but you should phone him as well.
I know you sent him an e-mail, but you should also phone him.

After I sent the e-mail, I phoned him (as well).
After I sent the e-mail, I (also) phoned him.
