afraid to x afraid of
I want to go out, but it's too dangerous. So, I'm afraid to go out. I don't want to lose my job. So, I'm afraid of losing my job. Are the sentences right? Are they ever interchangeble? Thanks a lot

In English do not start a sentence with "So". It is not used in this way.
Yes, they can be interchangeable.
