I am doing some more parts of speech. From the following sentences I must choose the verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs.

Are my answers below correct?

1. The lofty mountains were covered with deep snow.
2. Have you finished your adventure story, Sam?

PS, not sure if "The" in line 1 is an adjective.

Yes, "the" is an adjective, telling 'which one' of the trees.
