    Arrow Whisked off

    Hi folks,

    What "whisked off" mean?

I was reading a report when these words came accross.
The text is: "Buba was quickly whisked off to the Guantanamo Bay detention centre where Gambian embassy personnel will be able to write a letter to him in 3 years"

    Thanks!

    Falcon
