1. Could we say 'It was wrong for you to lie to your parents.'?
Lincoln said it was wrong for the South to break away from the Union.
2. Could we say 'Lincoln said it was wrong of the South to break away from the Union.'?
3. Are all the four sentences right?
You were wrong to lie to your parents.
You were wrong in lying to your parents.
I was wrong to think that I would get there in time on foot.
I was wrong in thinking that I would get there in time on foot.
