Default words

To teachers and members.

I need your help.
Please kindly ask my questions below.

1.about " carton " :

An English teacher ( Korean) says that "caton " is a long slim box (not big).

I have thought that "carton" is a kind of box with various sizes like
a container of cigarette , milk , fruits and so on.

Does the word always mean "a long slim box" ?

2. about " stationery / office supplies / office equipment " :

Is a stapler a kind of stationery ,office equipment , or office supplies?

Would you please give me examples of stationery, office supplies ,and

office equipment ?

-No, not necessarily. A carton can be any of various containers made from cardboard or coated paper. e. g. cans packed in cartons; a milk carton

2. about " stationery / office supplies / office equipment " :

-I would call a stapler a device. It is a piece of office equipment.

Would you please give me examples of stationery, office supplies ,and

office equipment ?
Stationery would include paper, envelopes, and other materials which one uses for writing, such as pens, pencils, etc.

Office equipment would include all the machines and devices needed to do the work which is carried on in the office. This means computers, printers, phones, staplers, etc.

Office supplies are materials or provisions which are usually stored and dispensed when needed, such as the staples that are used in the stapler, stationery, printer cartridges, pens, erasers, etc.
