1) "used to + bare infinitive", which has the "past state or action no longer continuing" sense: She used to be thin. I used to drink beer. 2) "be used to + noun/gerund", which is used to talk about being familiar with or accustomed to something: I'm used to the heat (i.e., the heat doesn't bother me because I have acclimatized). I'm used to getting up early (i.e., getting up early doesn't present any particular problem for me because I have done it long enough). I suppose I will be used to these conditions in a few days.
