Default "make it"

hi,

"I am trying to find a job. It's been a little difficult so far but I think I am going to make it...".

is this sentence ok?

is "make it" the best expression in this context?

I am looking for informal words that can also be used in formal situations.

thanks,
jc

Default Re: "make it"

. . . . survive the ordeal. (of looking for a job)
. . . . get through the process. (of trying to find a job)
. . . make it happen ( it = getting a job)
