Question Letter to unknown person

I want to send an email to a person who i don't know except his name.
The mail is for asking some questions about his published article.
I'd like to ask him as politely as possible.
Could you check this mail?

Dear Mr. (name),

I am the one who is interested in your research area.
I read your paper under the title "(article title)" published by (journal name) in 2007.
Some questions popped up when reading it.
1. What ~~~?
2. How ~~~?
I know you're busy doing your work, but could you answer them?
It would be a big help for understanding your paper thoroughly.
Thanks in advance.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Mr. (name),

I am writing in connection with your paper "(article title)" in (journal name) which I have recently read.

I am very interested in this area of research and would like to ask some questions relating to your paper. I realise that you must be very busy, but I hope that you are able to find the time to answer them. They are as follows.

1. What ~~~?

2. How ~~~?

Even if, owing to pressure of work, you are unable to respond at this moment in time. I would like to thank you for your time and wish you well in your future endeavors.

Yours Sincerely,
