Default At the present moment and at the moment

Is there a difference between the 2 phrases?

At the present moment is another way of saying at the moment (i.e. now). :D

At the present time and at the time, however, mean two different things. The former refers to now, whereas the latter refers to the past. :D

Hey, thanks. I just notice you are from near Mt. Fuji. Are there indeed some Japanese surnames containing the word Chin in that area? Chin Shih Huan, the first emperor of China (terra cotta, etc.) sent Shih Fu and 3,000 children to the Eastern Sea about 200-300 B.C. looking for alchemy for fountain of youth, according to Chinese history books. I read recently they had landed in Japan and settled around Mt. Fuji. Their descendants' surnames contain the word, Chin, the Chinese dynasty name.
