Default Error correction exercise

Hello, I need to spot the mistake in the following sentence:
"The psychiatrist asuggested against allowing Mavis to live with her family."
I know the mistake is "suggested" and could replace it with "advised" or "warned". I was simply wondering whether it would also be possible to say "argued against allowing..." Thank you

Yes, you're right. 'Argued against' works perfectly well in this context, though it changes the meaning a little and it could imply that the patients' family were not in agreement with the psychiatrist.

Poor Mavis - not a great name.
