    Smile prescriptive grammar question

Hi I am trying to do my homework for my linguistics class and I have to correct some sentences that were given. "Everyone was supposed to bring their own pillow." I don't see what is wrong with this sentence and was just wondering if you could help me out, Thanks!

As far as I know there's nothing wrong. Some people feel there is singular concord -everyone-his' but many grammars accept 'their' to avoid the clumsy 'his or her' or sexist language
