Difference between media and platform

I don't clearly see the difference between media and platform in a context of audiovisual and new mobile tech. Can anyone say to me what is each one of them?

If media is referring to radio and tv stations, and mobile tech, and internet, and so..., what's a platform which seems the same thing. Maybe platform is when we talk about this tv station, or that brand of mobile in a concret sense... ¿?

I think media refers to the physical or intellectual means to convey an idea such as: audio, video, print, speech, posters and etc.

Platform is the method of conveyance such as television, newspapers, magazines, movies, theater, debate and etc.
