which phrase is correct:
Hi,
I have a little question about which phrase is correct:
I知 on the faculty at school X
Or
I知 in the faculty at school X
I see the phrase used both ways. (By PHD痴)
What I can figure out is the faculty is a group of people and a person is IN a Group of people and not on a group of people.
Example: I am in the writing club, not I知 on the writing club.
Thanks,
Dowser

Re: which phrase is correct:
In. But when referring to being on (the committee of) the faculty, then 'on'.
You may be a member in a chess club and at the same time a controller on chess matches.
