Could someone please tell me the origins and the meaning of the term 'Generation Next'

In terms of anthropology/sociology, the term generation refers to all the people born at the same time. For example, the Baby Boomers of the 1940s and 50s, the Hippy Generation of the 1960s, the X Generation of the 1970s. The present generation, people born in the 1980s ad 1990s has yet to be named officially. At present, though, Generation Next is adopted as a play on words. It means, not Generation X.Quote:
