Default "afraid to make" and "afraid of making"

Hello! I´m Rodrigo from Brazil. I´ve just signed up. This is my first question: What is the difference between "afraid to make mistakes" and "afraid of making mistakes"? I´ve seen both of them and I wonder if they have different meanings or they don´t.
