I am trying to write an article about photography tips. In the following figure, there is a line (the horizon) cutting across the model's neck (it is a common mistake in photography). http://chang-home.myweb.hinet.net/Cl...odel2/6-12.jpg Is there a nice term to call this line? I can come up with something like "head-cutting horizon line" .... thanks

There is a horizontal line across the model's neck or (what I think you mean) The line of the horizon coincides with the neck of the model (making the head appear above ground and the rest of the body below - the eye continues along the horizon and 'through' the neck)

Or if you wanted something snappier, what about 'unintentional dissection'.
