Default how would you write this paragraph using understatement?

Hannah rode her bike to school. She stowed it in the rack. She was late, so she ran to homeroom, a clear violation of hallway policy. When she got there she found that she was later than she had thought; the lunch bell rang.

#clear violation' is about the only part that could be understated. Depending on how far you wanted to take it, you could say she was 'not in full compliance with hallway policy'.
