i-/ ii- symbols
I've seen these letters in my english book and could not understand what they stand for, Could someone help telling what they mean?????????
They were before some exlanation.
Thank you loads.
Re: i-/ ii- symbols
These are small case roman numerals. Capitalized i and ii are I and II. They represent the numbers 1 and 2.
i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi, vii, viii, ix, x
I, II, III, etc.
'x' is the roman numeral 'ten'.
