Linking words = conjunctions? ‘Too’ is normally used as a conjunction?

Maybe, I'm missing something, but I can't think of a single example of "too" being used as a "linking word".
"So" is fine, as in "I'll come at six so be ready" or "I feel ill so I'm staying in bed".
I'd usually use "too" in things like "Your hat's too big" or "The film was too long".
Also, we can say "I liked the film too" meaning "I liked the film as well" if I am agreeing with what someone else says or "I'm coming too" if I'm joining someone on a trip.
