Can you show me an example of using "pp" in a letter - signing for the individual who is actually sending the letter?

At the bottom of the letter (Under: Your Sincrely), type the name of the person who should have signed the letter.

Then, before the name of the person write: pp Then you can place your signature.

Example:

Quote:
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Yours Sincerely

..... Philip Morgan

(Write pp on the dotted lines)
This entry from Collins Cobuild English Language Dictionary might be useful for you:

pp
1 pp
pp is written before a person's name at the bottom of a formal or business letter in order to indicate that they have signed the letter on behalf of the person whose name appears before theirs.
...J.R. Adams, pp D. Philips.

2 pp
pp. is the plural of `p.' and means `pages'. (WRITTEN)
See chapter 6, pp. 137-41.

3 pp
In a piece of music, pp is a written abbreviation for pianissimo.

Normally your signature will go above the "pp John Doe".
