Default Pulverize and derange

Hi,

I've read words of this beautiful song 'Life is a Song' by Patrick Park. Unfortunately, I can't understand the meaning of 'pulverize and derange'. I would be really grateful if you could explain it for me (say it the other words).

'Well is this why you cling to every little thing
And pulverize and derange all your senses
Maybe life is a song but you're scared to sing along
Until the very ending'

Thanks.

What does 'cut ties' mean' ?

Example: 'It's time to cut ties that won't ever free our minds'

To "cut ties" is to end relationships, communications.

She cut ties to her family when she went to America.
