CAE is an exam that requires thorough preparation in the specific skills that are practised. It's not enough just to be a good user because many of the exercises are tricky in themselves, like the paragraph gap fills. The Reading paper requires reading at high speed in specific ways, so I would recommend exampractice,preferably with feedback from a teacher who has experience of the intricacies of a challenging exam.
