Default open: verb or adjective?

If I want to say there are different possibilities available to me, should I say

- "I am open to various possibilities" (adjective)
or
- "I am opened to various possibilities" (verb)

I have problem deciding the part of speech to be used in this sentence. Could someone explain the usage for me? Thanks a lot!!

The first is the correct one.#

You could say " I have opened the discussion about the various possibilities" - but it does not have exactly the same meaning.

Being open to something means that you are willing to consider that (possibility)(option). If I understand your meaning correctly, "option" is the better word.
You can have many options, but only be open to a limitted number of them.

If you want to mean 'There are (different)(several)(many) options available to me.', say that.

Thanks for your explanation, Anglika and 2006

2006, you understand my meaning correctly. "There are different options available to me" is exactly what I wanted to say in fact.
