open: verb or adjective?

If I want to say there are different possibilities available to me, should I say

- "I am open to various possibilities" (adjective)
or
- "I am opened to various possibilities" (verb)

I have problem deciding the part of speech to be used in this sentence. Could someone explain the usage for me? Thanks a lot!!

The first is the correct one.#

You could say " I have opened the discussion about the various possibilities" - but it does not have exactly the same meaning.

Being open to something means that you are willing to consider that (possibility)(option). If I understand your meaning correctly, "option" is the better word.
You can have many options, but only be open to a limitted number of them.

If you want to mean 'There are (different)(several)(many) options available to me.', say that.
