Hi,
would any one know what would the frase mean in the following context? Itīs in a film. The guy sits up front in a fashion show and says to the guy behind him:
- I gotta sit way up close.
and then he says:
- Little stigmata in the old peeper.
At the same time he points at his nose...
Thanks.
Virginia
There's also (possibly) a play on the word "astigmatism" - an eye defect. "Stigmata" is chiefly (only?) used of wounds that occur miraculously/hysterically [you choose ] on the hands/feet of people meditating on the Crucifixion: http://z.about.com/d/paranormal/1/0/...gmata_2_lg.jpg
