    Default more often than not

    Hi there,
    I've come up with some problem ,and wish to get help.what does "more often than not "mean?Is it similar to usually?

    Yes. It is a way of saying that 'something happens more often than it doesn't happen', and so, it is more usual for it to occur.
    " Food is scarce and more often than not/and usually they go hungry."
