Dear teachers,
Would you be kind enough to tell to me the proper meaning of the word “outorganized” that was used in two different NYT’s articles.
Mr. Obama, finally, has tactical worries of his own. He won in states like Missouri by running up large margins in cities and suburbs. But in Ohio, he appeared outorganized.
She sure did. this is why she was stunned at her loss in Iowa and there was no Plan B when the " upstart" outraised, outorganized, outeverythinged her. ...
1. outorganize = in a manner that exceeds or surpasses and sometimes overpowers or defeats
2. outorganized = unorganized
Thank you in advance for your efforts.
- Lacking order, unity, or a system; disorganized.
- Having no organic qualities; inorganic.
- Not represented by a labor union.

Oh for the dying hyphen!
out-organized - someone else organised better than he did.

Hi Anglika,
Thank you for your crystal clear explanation. There are further examples concerning the present thread.

He out-organized her, out-fundraised her, out-speechified her, out-hustled her, out-dressed her, and out-presidentialed her.
