Default home care

Could anyone please help me with the following in bold?

1. I like the way Jorge Mesquita, president of P&G'd global home care business, expresses this challenge.

In the dictionary, "home care" is defined as "health care provided in the patient's home by health care professionals or by family and friends." Is this what the above means? Does P&G actually engage in this kind of business? Or does "home care" in the above have another meaning, like the business associated with the products used in the home?

2. I've learned the hard way that people who are working on short-term tasks while simultaneously trying to work on upstream innovation rarely have the time to add brilliant new ideas to the product itself.

What does "upstream" mean in the above context?

3. As I write this, Tide's volume market share is close to its all-time high of 30% (its value share is about 40%).

Does "volume" in the above refer to "sales volume"? Can "volume market share" also be said as just "volume share?" And what is "value share"?

Thank you.

They're referring to the products that Procter & Gamble sell that are used to help maintain the home. In this case, P&G's home care products include laundry detergent, cleaning products, fabric softeners, etc.

Long-term, far ahead in the future.

Volume market share is the amount of Tide detergent that consumers purchase versus all other laundry detergent. Value share refers to the profit percentage margin Tide maintains in markets where it is the best-selling detergent.

Thank you for the helpful explanation.

Let me ask you one more. I have seen the expression "volume share" many times. Does this mean "the amount of any particular product sold in the market?" Is this the same as "volume market share?"
