numbers
Dear teachers,
I find the following is extremely difficult. And I can't find reference books. Could you please help me? The following is from the textbook.
1. 1,200,000,000
1 billion and 200 million or one point two billion (the use of 'point') is difficult for me
2. a hundred billion
Could you please tell me if I can use the word 'point'? If I can how should I write it?
Is it correct to write so 100,000,000,000?
3. 3,650,000,000,000
three trillion and six hundred 50 billion
If point is used how should I write the number?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.

You shouldn't use "point" here, but it's not impossible, you could say zero point one trillion but it would sound strange.

3 point six five trillion.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.

Hope this helps.

Re: numbers
Dear jamiep,
Thank you very much for your explanation. Could you please explain the meaning of 'point'? In other words how much does it mean?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.

Re: numbers
Point indicates the decimal point in numbers. For example one half would be written 0.5 or zero point five.

Re: numbers
Dear jamiep,
Thank you very much for your explanation. I guess because the systems are different so it is really difficult for me to understand it.
I'll try to find more numbers and to understand the 'point'.
