Question Can You help me please?

I would like to become english translator some day and most of all I need to improve my english language. I am not sure where to start, which course? What certificate to go for so that I could build to higher education.
So many courses yet I don't know which one? I suppose one lead to the other, I am confuse. All I need is someone to tell me what stages I have to go trough to achieve my goal.

You need to decide HOW you want to study. Do you want to go to a university? What education have you completed? What languages do you already speak? What languages do you want to translate?
Most Universities have a person who can talk to you about what courses you should follow.

I am not at all knowledgeable on the subject but I would suggest going down the IELTS pathway. This set of courses is being recognised more and more by any serious institution in order to study English further (that includes universities, consulates etc.).

I am sure others can help further, but it is worth looking into IELTS.

Thumbs up Re: Can You help me please?

I have completed EFL eight years ago, but I have to admit writing was and is my weakness. This might sound strange but I love writing and I prefer to write in English language rather than in Polish, manly because Polish is such a long language that when I have a though to write I have already forgotten by the time i even lift a pen (as it take so many words in Polish to express myself). English I don't have that problem it is fantastic language and I am thirsty to learn more. The true is I don't have any talents but good God I can talk and of course that is my strength. I was thinking that if I combine English/Polish I could have a job of my dreams. I am much older now and I feel I actually want to learn. Thank You for Your help!

Keep writing. We are always glad to help people improve, and posting your questions will be helpful to you.

You also need to read as much as possible so that you absorb the way that English writers use language.

Good luck.
